Creative Community Social & Wine Tasting

Earlier this month we hosted our first get-together for the creative community since the pandemic. This time it was all about opening the house for something more informal, and what better way to do that than with plenty of wine and cheese?

We were really excited to open the doors of the Artistry House last week with our first event in over 2 years. The aim of the house has always been to inspire creativity and encourage collaboration. This time we simply wanted to create an opportunity for our creative community to eat, drink, and connect, whilst also doing some good in the community by fundraising for our local homeless charity, the Foxton centre.

As ever we wanted to bring some creative flair to the evening, so we mixed this in with some great music from Josh Horsley, a fantastic grazing table from The Artisan Deli in Penwortham, and the most brilliant wine tasting by Wash Studio’s incredibly talented and knowledgeable sommelier, Sam Johnson. All this amongst a wonderful collection of new art from Norman Long, Iain H Williams and Steve Childs.

On the night tasted a selection of wine from Boutinot Wines - one of the UK’s leading suppliers to restaurants and independent wine merchants.

Boutinot started life 40 years ago as a wine importer and since have grown to import wines from every corner of the wine-making world, always with an emphasis on quality and believing in the value of working with long-term partners and customers who understand their mission.

It was brilliant to see that the event was attended by a whole host of talented creatives from business owners to designers, artists, strategists and architects and the kind donations raised £454 for the Foxton centre.

We’d like to see this as the start of something and are looking to put on more events in the coming months so look out for updates on social media. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for future events or would like to use the house for an event of their own please contact lynsey@theartistry.house.
