Rise

It’s always good when client has a great vision for a project, and Rise were a shining example of having done their homework. Inspired by a soft pastel palette the client wanted to bring Bali sunshine to Preston in the form of a colourful and relaxing space to enjoy brunch with friends.

With a clear direction for the interior we fed this directly into the branding piece, starting with a proposition to capture their personality on paper and then developing a clean and modern look and feel which could be translated throughout the space.

From an interiors outlook it was essential to work around the original architectural details in the listed structure of Miller Arcade, and the restoration of the site was always at the forefront of the scheme.

We worked hard to balance the more contemporary brand identity with the period of the building by taking a modern approach to classic features - the mosaic floors and subway-tiled walls for example create real interest and focus.

CGI renders bring the project to life in a 3D environment

The downstairs area was inspired by a tropical environment using green walls and leafy prints to create an instagram-friendly subterranean atmosphere. Key spaces like the living wall with bespoke branded neon become photography opportunities or ‘moments’ which support the brand’s social media presence.

A lot of bespoke design went into making this project unique.

From metal and upholstered bench seating which would make the most of the small floor plan to branded neon lighting, it was important here to create a real one-off space which felt special, and a real destination on the Preston high street.
